Welcome to HokkaidoKuma. HokkaidoKuma was established to reflect a lot of the knowledge I’ve gained since moving to Japan. At the time of this writing, I’ve been in Japan for nearly three years now, and when my working contract comes to an end, I’ll have spent a total of four years in Japan. In other words, this is a way for me to get the creative juices flowing before my time at my current position comes to an end and I’ll have to look for a new adventure in life.
In case you haven’t guessed it already, The title of the blog and my handle are a reference to Hokkaido (Japan’s northern most prefecture) and Kuma (Japanese word for bear). Through the course of this blog, I hope to sprinkle in little Easter Eggs of Hokkaido Life. But mostly, my posts will be about whatever with Japan being the glue that holds it all together.
So come away with me as I explore the lifestyle of an expat living in Hokkaido… Kuma.
